Our Clinic:
The National Medical Imaging Clinic Education and Research Centre is located on the North Side of Market Mall in beautiful Saskatoon. We have developed a 6,000 sqf medical imaging facility to provide magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), X- Ray and Ultrasound services.
With our partners, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, NAIT, Mitchener Institute of Education. This will truly make for an exciting work experience.

Summary of Duties:
MRI Technologists are responsible for providing optimal patient care while performing routine and complex MRI diagnostic procedures. This role involves participating in teaching, education, research, safety and quality improvement programs and activities.
Qualifications:
Magnetic Resonance Imaging Diploma
Registered with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
Registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Medical Radiation Technologists
Knowledge, Skills & Responsibilities:
Intermediate computer skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to work positively and collaboratively in an inter-disciplinary setting.
Certified in drug administration and venipuncture
Key Activities:
Perform MR imaging procedures as required in an accurate and concise way.
Monitor and record the physiological condition of the patient prior to and throughout the procedure.
Start intravenous to support the injection of contrast media.
Ensure concerns of all patients and their families are addressed appropriately to relieveany anxiety associated with the examination.
Check and collect Clinical History.
Follow all protocols provided regarding specific scanning criteria.
Specialized skills, training, and knowledge in Contrast Injection.
Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the technologists’ care.
Liaises with patients; explains and ensures informed consent (verbal/written) is obtained for procedures, when necessary.
Operate, troubleshoot, and ensure MR, medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner. Complete daily inspection of MR equipment.
Participate in teaching, educational, research, safety and quality improvement programs/activities.
